Decision No. 456 of 2022 Establishing Ras Al-Tabl Municipality

The Council of Ministers has established a new municipality named Ras Al-Tabl under the authority of the Ministry of Local Government. The municipality's administrative boundaries follow those approved by the Ministry. The decision took effect immediately upon issuance on 25 May 2022.

This creates a new administrative jurisdiction requiring separate licensing, permitting, and compliance protocols for any operations within Ras Al-Tabl's boundaries. Companies with existing operations in what is now Ras Al-Tabl should verify which municipal authority now governs their licenses and tax obligations. The establishment may present early-mover opportunities for service providers, infrastructure contractors, and suppliers as the new municipality builds administrative capacity and undertakes development projects.
